GARVANZA IN 1910. The vantage point from Santa Fe Hill makes for an easy location to document development in Garvanza. This panorama was taken on March 19, 1910, showing considerably more development than the 1902 photographs on pages 46 and 47. The Campbell-Johnston Block and the Andrew Glassell Jr. residence are still prominent, but now the Hesketh residence and the new Garvanza Elementary School are visible. There are many new houses between Avenues 63 and 66. The hills to the rear are still fairly open. Another big improvement was the paving on the streets, which was done in 1906.
